David Gerstein received first prize for his works at the Olympic stadium in the city of Hsinchu, Taiwan. Gerstein was chosen out of over 170 artists and was awarded in a ceremony in Taiwan last month. Here is Gerstein with the award.

Here are the works for which he received the award. They were made for the Olympic stadium in Hsinchu, Taiwan and were erected at 2015 by the artist and his team. The works feature cyclists and runners and the most impressive sculpture is the cycling race which is quite a large scale piece as you can see here below.

The artist has posted this on Facebook and was quoted saying he is “Thrilled and grateful to receive the award” when we caught up with him at his Jerusalem studio.
